Re: I recovered my character!

Made the old run from Qeynos to Freeport. Got lost in Rivervale. Hit the EC tunnel. Fun to try to remember everything. I am totally lost with the UI and can't remember a damn thing my character can do.

Re: Happy 20 Year Anniversary

I think it might be time to reinstall EQ and make a memorial run from Qeynos to Freeport one last time.

Re: Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen

Yeah the layoffs were that, but a lot of people left recently due to Activision's heavy handed lead. I watched an interesting video about how game companies mature and stop being game companies. I think it stemmed originally from an interview with Steve Jobs where he described how the older a compan...

I'm thinking they might have scooped up someone from Blizzard. Lots of "things" happening in Warcraft land.

Re: Income Inequality

Most people that get minimum wage jobs are living with their parents, or at least that's how it was when I was young. I started working farm jobs that paid well below minimum wage. I picked beans for $3 a bushel. My first non-farm job was at Sears working in Receiving for minimum wage. I didn't know...

Re: Trump is now president.

I'm sure that was part of it since she built up quite the repertoire of interviews claiming hardship growing up because of her mixed heritage, so I think that left her open to ridicule unless she could prove it. This just made it worse.

Re: Trump is now president.

That's why Elizabeth Warren was so desperate to prove her Native American heritage. She needed something to use.

Re: Income Inequality

Ok first off, Walmart made "gross profit" of $127B. Walmart's Operating Expenses were $107B leaving an Operating Income of $20B. After Interest, Taxes and other Operating Expenses, Walmart made a Net Income of $9.9B. So some recalculations on your part might be needed. After all, if you took your $6...

Re: Trump is now president.

That is because most Parliamentary styles of government allow "radical" ideologies to flourish and have a party. Anytime things get out of control, they dissolve and start over. The US system is not designed in that fashion. It is a more deliberate process and the two houses of Congress are required...

Re: Income Inequality

To me, Income Inequality is a moral and economic problem. On the economic side it's a matter of buying power. What is a more powerful driver of an economy, a million people with $10K to spend, or one person with $10bil? Since 1978, average workers have seen an increase of income of 11.2%, while exe...

Re: Income Inequality

Interestingly, the US has the lowest income mobility of the developed world. Essentially if you are born in poverty then it's very likely you're remain there, and likewise if you were born wealthy then you are likely to remain wealthy. Couple that with rising inequality and people are more likely t...

Re: Trump is now president.

Right now, they only have one unifying factor...….they hate Trump. Left to their own devices, they will consume themselves.

Intersectionality is evil. It is the antithesis of Western values which places the individual above all else.

Re: Income Inequality

Why? Why do people care what the top 1% have or earn? If you are able to live comfortably, and there is income mobility, what is the problem? I can understand in the past when you were born into a "class" of people and were destined to remain there because there was zero income mobility, but there i...

Re: Income Inequality

So the entire world is doing better. Capitalism works, has worked and will continue to work. If you took all the wealth from the top 1% and gave it to everyone else, what would happen? Nothing. It's simply not enough to make any material difference to the over 7 billion other people. If you redistri...
